FROM PASTOR'S DESK
PASSAGE: JOB: 19:V:25I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
By the time these words came out of Job’s mouth, he had never heard a testimony of any man under the sun who had gone through the mess he was in and still managed to come out of it, as matter of fact he was going to be the first one.
One of the painful things that can reduce a man to a zombie, is when he losses his family, children, wife, income, wealth and everything that he has worked hard to get in this life, reading Jobs story one can only imagine what he went through, because what we go through can never be compared with what he went through.
But the amazing thing is, Job says, even though I’ve lost my wife, kids, income, riches and all that I have earned though hard work, I have the knowledge that my REDEEMER IS ALIVE, that means if, my REDEEMER is alive, then He has no other option but to bring a live everything that that is dead in my life.
Job was going through a predicament that had been approved by God, God was NOT tempting Job, for God does NOT tempt anyone, but what puzzles me is the ability of Job thinking about the end and he had no idea what the end will be like.
Check this out: The word redeemer derives from the Hebrew word GOEL meaning, a close blood relative, so what qualifies a redeemer is the blood relationship.
WHAT DOES A REDEEMER DO? LEVITICUS: 25:v:47-48, If an alien {stranger} or a TEMPORARY resident among you becomes rich & one of your countrymen becomes poor & sells himself to the alien living among you or to a member of the alien's clan, he retains the right of redemption after he has sold himself. One of his relatives may redeem him
So according to this passage to redeem is to rescue, restore, to bring or purchasing back, what was rightly or wrongly acquired, BUT what qualifies a REDEEMER is the blood relationship, He can never be you’re a Redeemer unless you are bloodily related.more...
